Stansteel Asphalt Plant Products' Hot Oil Heat Exchanger supplies super heated oil throughout the asphalt plant. It is the superior alternative to old-style tub and helical heaters.

Designed with two sections of coil, a serpentine radiant section and a finned economizer section, the Hot Oil Heat Exchanges provides up to 200% more surface area than convection heaters.

Return oil from the asphalt plant enters the system through an air/oil seperator which feeds the positive displacement pump. The oil is pumped through the finned tube economizer section to a wide convection heating area. The economizer section is designed to squeeze out the last heat release from exiting flu gas. This This feature offers the greatest attainable efficiency in the industry.

As the oil leaves the economizer section, it is routed to the radiant section. This section consists of serpertine radiant coils with space between the tubes, that maximizes the surface area exposure for maximum heat transfer. The Stansteel Asphalt Plant Products Hot Oil Heat Exchanger is available in units rated at 500,000 to 4 million BTUs.
